Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a Cost Plus Fixed Fee Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with McDonnell Douglas Corporation (MDC), wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company for Post Production Support (PPS) services. PMA-257 is soliciting continued support from the OEM for T/AV-8B sustaining Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) support required to maintain the T/AV-8B during the PPS phase of the aircraft's life cycle. Specific Engineering Support Services include providing technical support to the Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and AV-8B Fleet Support Team (FST) for the resolution of problems arising in T/AV-8B aircraft and associated systems, subsystems and ancillary equipment. Such support shall include, but not be limited to; engineering analyses, suitability evaluations, effectiveness evaluations and on-site support of failure, incident, and development of repair concepts, engineering and accident investigations, and investigation and generation of technical alerts. Logistics support will include maintaining existing T/AV-8B Air Vehicle Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) databases that will facilitate the analysis of in-service design and logistics changes. This effort shall include logistics database updates for Navy approved Class II engineering changes, RAMECs, Source Maintenance and Recoverability (SM&R) Code changes, Rapid Manufacturing Capability Support, Technical Directives (TDs), and Interim Change Notices (ICNs) not originated by a Class I ECP. The LSA integrated database will provide visibility of the integration of the maintenance concept and the applicable support resources. For subcontracting opportunities, please contact Ms. Susan Fuller at Boeing (314-232-8780). See Note 22.
