- Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and transportation necessary to deliver crushed stone of various sizes, per each delivery order, loaded on Contractor furnished barges. The work will be performed on the Mississippi River from River Mile 953.8 to River Mile 0.0, on the Atchafalaya River between River Mile 0.0 and River Mile 125.0 and on tributaries of the Mississippi River, as identified in the delivery order. All mileage will be the mileage's shown in the latest edition of the Flood Control and Navigation Maps of the Mississippi River, which is prepared under the direction of the President, Mississippi River Commission, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, P.O. Box 80, Vicksburg, MS 39180. It is anticipated that the majority of the stone will be ordered between 1 July and 30 November as stated in the pricing schedule. The contract period is 1 July 2009, or date of award, through 30 June 2010 with options to extend through 30 June 2014. Solicitation will be made available on 07 April 2009 and can be downloaded off the Army Single Face to Industry website https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. Sealed bids are due on 7 May 2009. The solicitation will not be made available in paper or any other format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper or another medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for submittal of bid will not be allowed. This solicitation is being advertised as UNRESTRICTED.
