- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a modification under contract N00019-08-C-0039 for the FY09 procurement of the Broach Lethal Package (Augmenting Charge, Follow-Through-Bomb (FTB), FTB Kit, and Program Management/Engineering Support) for the Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) (Navy and FMS). This acquisition was pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: The multistage Broach warhead, designed by BAE Systems, is the only payload that meets the Government's current requirements for penetration and blast fragmentation capability within the required schedule requirements.
