Description
This notice is not a solicitation. This announcement serves as a sources sought notice for the upcoming acquisition for United States Air Force Academy, PacStar 4100 or equivalent. Interested firms must reference their 8(a), HUBZone, Woman Owned or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned status that must be signed by a company official with authority to bind the company. All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, lack of registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) will make an offeror ineligible for contract award. This Sources Sought Notice is also issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All businesses capable of providing this equipment are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. The 10LGR/ LGCB is seeking potential sources who can manufacture the PacStar 4100 or equivalent. The following salient characteristics are: Description - PacStar 4100 Initial Entry Package The PacStar TM 4100 is a portable communications package that can be used to support Commanders or small teams during the initial entry period of an operation until mission complete. The package provides critical connectivity prior to installation of more permanent communications capabilities. The PacStar 4100 delivers Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) voice and data services for 20 users. To enhance portability, the complete package is contained in a small case that meets airline carry-on requirements. The PacStar 4100 can connect via LAN or satellite, and utilizes Voice over IP (VoIP) or analog phones, all integrated into an easy-to-use package. All components are pre-connected, pre-configured, and managed by customized PacStar IQ-Core TM Software. It also provides access to two data networks (NIPRNet and SIPRNet) that are configurable based on user requirements. These data networks and Voice over Secure Internet Protocol (VoSIP) phones are separated from the system by High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) devices.
