Description
Questions and Answers- Blanket Purchase Agreement for Satellite Services A Site Survey is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at : 30th Contracting Squadron, 1515 Iceland Avenue, Bldg 8500, Meeting Room 139C, Vandenberg AFB, CA 93437 1:30pm-2:30pm with Mr. Raymond Harper, End-User, Sylvia Jones, Purchasing Agent Contact: Raymond Harper if you need access to the base: Raymond.Harper@Vandenberg.af.mil (805) 606-7004 Required documentation for base access is : valid Driver's License, Date of Birth is needed for access letter. Q1. What are the evaluation factors? A1. Technically Acceptable Q2.Independent of the items listed in FAR 52.212-1, are there any specific areas that we should include in our response? A2. NO Q3. Do you require the Representations and Certifications submitted as part of the response or is the online version available on ORCA sufficient? A3. ORCA is sufficient Q4. Is the government requesting one firm and fixed price quote-a gross dollar figure? A4. Yes, Annual Fixed Price Quote Q5. Are there any unique personnel requirements in accordance with FAR 52.204.9? A5. Must past Security (for example, valid DL, no warrants) Q6. Is a Word document response emailed to you sufficient? A6. Yes Q7. Is there an incument currently performing similar services? If so who is the incumbent? A7. Services are currently being provided by Direct TV & Dish through separate accounts on a month-to-month basis. Q8. When will the government make available building details or prints including such details as roof type (flat), walk out roof access, number of floors, number of TV locations in each building, location of each TV- floor and room numbers, is there a central closet available on each floor, is power available in the closet on each floor, ceiling type on each floor (drop, drywall,etc)? A8. Detailed information can be made available upon the contractors request once a contract is awarded or the contractor can choose to schedule and complete a site survey of each facility as needed. Q9. Are any advanced services, DVR or High Definition, required? A9. High Definition is required at all locations, but DVRs are not needed. Q10. Are the existing services all in good operation now meaning there are no exiting service problems. A10. There are no exiting service problems at this time. Q11. Is there existing cable infrastructure or is all new cable infrastructure required? A11. No new cable installation is required at this time. If/when new service locations are requested, new quad shield RG-6 cables will need to be installed as needed. Q12. The government provides the total number of buildings (20) and total number of TVs (37) in each building. However to provide legitimate pricing, we need to understand the application or type of viewing for each of these locations. A12. The typical account will have a basic package with local channels and 1-2 additional receivers per account building. Please identify the customer type that is being requested: a.) MDU or Dorm application- the subscriber is using the service in their residence-apartments, barracks. etc. -We have one current MDU account; gold course VIP quarters with 5 receivers (1 for each room). The government does not provide satellite TV to any dorm, apartment, or barracks. b.)Public Viewing- subscriber is using the service for customer in a public establishment that serves food and beverages- restaurant or bar, etc. - Public Viewing - No general public viewing for establishment that serves food and beverages- restaurant or bar, etc. c.) Business Viewing for general public areas or lobbies-service is shown in publich lobby or waiting areas, fitness or work out areas, etc. -Business Viewing - Most connection are located in a government waiting or lobby area. d.) Private offices- services are for use in office areas. -Private offices- Some connectins are for closed 24-hour office areas.
