- This announcement replaces any prior announcement in regards to advertising 09SP308135 - (aka- 09SS308135) Work to be performed under this solicitation consists of reconditioning and restoring generator air coolers that are presently located at Davis Dam Power Plant in Bull Head City, Arizona. This will require offerors to transport, inspect, clean, recondition, deliver and participate in the testing of the overhauled generator air coolers. The air coolers are from generators manufactured by General Electric. The reconditioned air coolers are not required to be installed under this contract. Installation will be performed by Davis Dam personnel. All restoration is to be performed at contractor's facility. The proposed contract's performance period will start on date of award and run for a 4 year period. There are no Option Provisions. It is the Government's intent to place one Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Type contract with a guaranteed minimum award quantity of one (1) air cooler with a maximum dollar value of $1,000,000 for the 4 year period. This acquisition will be pursued in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This requirement is being issued on an unrestricted basis. The North American Industry Classification System code is 332410. The solicitation will include a description of the requirement, instructions to offerors and information on the required certifications. It will be available by electronic posting only at www.fedbizopps.gov on, or about April 8, 2009 and will close 30 days later, on or about May 8, 2009. For award evaluation purposes, source selection criteria will be included in the solicitation. Offerors will be required to submit a technical proposal that addresses their experience / past performance doing similar work, as well as reference information. A statement of work and a drawing of the Generator will be provided upon request prior to the solicitation's issue date. In order to receive a contract award, contractors are required to register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at www.ccr.gov. CCR is a self-service database. Vendors register themselves and maintain their own information through the CCR web site. The CCR Handbook and information on the registration process can be obtained via the CCR web site, http://www.ccr.gov or by calling the CCR Help Desk at 1-888-227-2423.
