Description
This solicitation is restricted to local sources IAW FAR 5.202-12 Project Title and Location: FY09 Improve Family Housing, Phantom Phase 2 and Falcon, Incirlik Air Base, Turkey The U.S. Government is soliciting interest for a firm, fixed-priced design-build contract. Contractor shall design, construct and provide phased delivery of whole neighborhood improvements to 446 dwelling units in the Phantom and Falcon housing area of Incirlik AB. Improvements shall include general interior and exterior modernization, renovation, and conversion of some 2 Bedroom units to 3 Bedroom units through re-partitioning and increasing the interior spaces of the individual dwelling units. The contractor shall also provide upgrading of kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows, roof, floor and wall finishes, HVAC, electrical and fire protection systems, increased energy efficiency, as well as exterior work, such as upgrading the patios, pavements, utility systems, and recreation areas with landscaping. The completion of each phase of the project, on schedule and in the required whole neighborhood configuration necessary for beneficial occupancy, is of paramount importance to the Governments ability to house incoming families. The estimated cost of the project is more than $10,000,000. Responses are desired from firms who can demonstrate recent experience and excellent past performance in design/construction of similar facilities, but expressions of interests will be accepted from all interested parties. Solicitation will be issued on or about 10 April 2009. Prime construction firms are required to provide their email address, physical address for any courier service delivery, along with a telephone number, facsimile number and an English-speaking point of contact. Requests that do not provide complete information will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information provided. The solicitation will be issued free of charge by downloading from a designated website. The website address will be provided to all qualified offerors at a later date. All requests for interest in this solicitation must refer to solicitation number W912GB-09-R-0027 and be sent to the attention of Mr. Jari Aaltonen.
