- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), authorized or required by statue. The Providence VA Medical Center requires the Updated AMS Enterprise Edition Software Package to update Two Electronic Medication Pumps being used to dispense Medication for the Methadone Clinic understatue 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) to make an award to sole source this requirement to NetSmart NY Inc. The proposed contract action is for the updated software package to be used on NetSmart Hardware that was purchased in 2003 to dispense medication for the Methadone Clinic. The Government intends to award to only one source (NetSmart NY Inc.) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This is a proprietary software packaged available exclusively through the manufacturer. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
