Description
Description: This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. This announcement constitutes a Request for Quotation; proposals are being requested. Solicitation number FM460082700165 is issued as a request for quotation. Funds are currently available. Quotations must be good for one month after the closing post date. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339114. The business size standard is 500 employees. Offutt AFB intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the following items: Line Item: Nobleguide Software: Nobel Biocare is the only known manufacturer of NobelGuide implant planning software. Supplies may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of a follow-on contract for the continued development or production of a major system or highly specialized equipment, including major components thereof, when it is likely that award to any other source would result in - (A) Substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, or (B) Unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. (See 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B) or 41 U.S.C. 253 (d)(1)(B).) NobelGuide is revolutionary planning software that will allow the practitioner to virtually plan his/her dental implant surgery cases based on each patient's CT scan data. Its primary applications are in the fields of prosthodontics, periodontics and oral surgery. It can be used for storing, retrieving, displaying, and printing digital, radiographs (X-rays), and digital images of dental models. Once images have been stored, they may be shown to patients for educational purposes or printed to provide "hard copies" of patients' digital radiographs. Additionally, NobelGuide enables the restorative dentist or surgical dentist to compose customized referral letters with embedded dental model or radiographic images. It, therefore, improves communication between dental care providers. The 2D and 3D images provided by NobelGuide gives the dentist a clear picture of patient anatomy as well as the ability to develop customized treatment plans accordingly. Furthermore, NobelGuide assists surgeons in developing restoratively driven surgical treatment plans. NobelGuide is based on planning algorithms used clinically for more than 11 years, which can help deliver predictable and precise results by integrating accurate laboratory prosthetic models, CT scan data, and their clinician-friendly 3D planning software. Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. If not already registered in CCR, go to WWW.CCR.GOV to register prior to submitting quote.
