- The government intends to issue a solicitation SPM1C1-09-Q-0253 for the Hat, Service, Women’s Drill Instructor (8410-01-348-2455(s)). This item is being purchased in accordance with CID# A-A-50072 Dated 23 August 2005.The solicitation will be issued as a total small business set-aside that will result in a firm fixed price contract. This item utilizes GFM; description is as follows, Cloth Poly/Wool Serge, Type III, Class 3, 60” Width, Army Green 489 (8305-01-303-9536. Item Sizes are as follows x-small NSN: 8410-01-348-2455( SQ INS 526.35 )quantity 282ea, Small NSN: 8410-01-348-2456 (SQ INS 554.06 )Quantity of 282ea, Medium NSN: 8410-01-348-2457 (SQ INS 572.24) Quantity of 336ea, Large NSN: 8410-01-348-2458 (SQ INS 600.06 )Quantity of 606ea, X-Large NSN: 8410-01-348-2459 (SQ INS 609.91) Quantity of 414ea. Item is to be delivered FOB Destination, with 3 deliveries, beginning 120 days after the date of award. Destination is SEQ Suffolk; VA. Acceleration of delivery will be permitted after award only as authorized by PCO. The anticipated solicitation will post 15 days from the date of synopsize. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(a) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (12 May 03). From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs' from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure E-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. Important note on foreign content: The Defense Appropriations and Authorization Acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DOD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, clothing and textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
