Description
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is looking for firms that qualify under the Small Business Programs that are mentioned in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY, to identify valid sources and to gauge the business interest of Design Build firms for Design and Construction Services intended for a site adapt in support of a new Cafeteria at the Schenck Civilian Conservation Center in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina. The estimated range for this project is $1 million to $5 million. MARKET RESEARCH IS BEING CONDUCTED to determine if there are small businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. No telephone calls will be accepted. DOL is seeking A-E firms for work which includes national and local code review and applicable design modifications, civil, and utility design and construction, foundation design and construction, updating the design of all major building systems, modifications to the building as required by the Scope of Work, and construction of the Cafeteria. The work also includes removal/abandonment of existing utilities, and restoration of site areas impacted by construction operations. The work shall meet the design intent of the Scope of Work and the requirements of the provided Government owned conceptual design. The extent of work is further described in the approved Scope of Work. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and the Small Business Standard is $33.5 million. All interested parties are invited to submit capabilities statement to include three (3) projects completed within the last five (5) years that are relevant to the work that will be required under this project. Please be sure to provide a point of contact for each project listed. Electronic versions of your capabilities statement, ten (10) PAGES OR LESS, shall be submitted VIA E-MAIL to holst.miriam@dol.gov. LARGER capabilities statement shall be submitted to: Miriam J.
