- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER the Smithsonian's existing ID/IQ 8(a) pre-qualified vendors. The subject project will be competed with the following four (4) existing ID/IQ 8(a) vendors: -CFM Engineering / 2301 Dorsey Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21061-3275, 443-354-4077; -Edifice Group, Inc. / 1335 Rockville Pike, Suite 250, Rockville, MD 20852-1446, 301-294-3300; -F&M Electrical Services, Inc. / 9405 Concord Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772, 301-599-7776; -Severn Associates, Inc. / 42 Hudson St, Suite 213A, Annapolis, MD 21401, 410-897-5964. The Smithsonian Institution is seeking a proposal to furnish all supervision, labor materials and equipment needed to for the installation of a new "emergency" and "stand-by" generator at the Administration and Research Facilities of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) located at 647 Contees Wharf Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. Duration of the Contract is three hundred and sixty-five (365) calendar days. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 236220, and the annual size standard is $31,000,000. The estimated price range of this requirement is between $780,000 and $1,300,000. It is the Smithsonian's intent to award a firm-fixed price Work Order Contract to the offeror whose price is most advantageous to the Institution. The Work Order will be awarded under the authority of FAR 16.505. Davis-Bacon Wages presently in effect for Anne Arundel County, MD will prevail.
