Description
The VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY intends to award an Architect/Engineer contract to provide all necessary architectural and engineering services required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates, including services throughout construction for Project No.603-09-501, Replace Air Handling Unit Phase III, at the VA Medical Center located at 800 Zorn Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky. Work includes architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, and industrial hygiene. Area of consideration is limited to a 50 mile radius of the VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky. The NAICS code is 541310 and the size standard is $4.5Million. A/E selection criteria will include: 1) Professional qualifications necessary for performance of required services; 2) specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E firm with similar type projects; 3) past performance on contracts with Government agencies; 4) Location of A/E firm; 5) experience and roles of key design personnel, specifically on related projects; 6) cost control and estimating effectiveness; (7) Veteran owned small business status. Contract award is subject to availability of funds. This is not a request for proposal. Potential contractors must be registered in CCR (www.ccr.gov) at the time of submission of their qualifications in order to be considered for award. Standard Form 330 can be obtained at http: //www.gsa.gov/Portal/gsa/ep/formslibrary.do Firms desiring consideration must submit three copies of SF 330 not later than 2:00 p.m. CST on April 13, 2009. SF 330 should be sent to Roxie Ann Keese, Contracting Officer, Acquisition Service Center VISN 9 (90C), Department of Veterans Affairs, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40206-1499. No faxed or e-mail SF 330s will be accepted. This procurement is SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS (SDVOSB) and is restricted to firms located within a 50-mile radius of Louisville, Kentucky. SF330's received from other than Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns will not be considered. A Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business is a small business concern 51% owned by a service disabled veteran with a service connected disability as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101 (16)
