- Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, San Diego, CA, issoliciting interested Industry representatives to participate in an IndustryForum scheduled for 7 April 2009 from 0800 to 1200, Pacific Daylight Time. Theintent of the Industry Forum is to receive Industry input on common businesspractices for the subject services, contract structure and enhancing theGovernment's ability to obtain quality services at reasonable prices, andincrease efficiency in proposal preparation, proposal evaluation, negotiation,and contract award. NAVFAC SW plans to provide briefings on the following topics: (1) ContractingMethodology,(2) Overview of the facilities, (3) Overview of the Performance WorkStatement (PWS) for Environmental Services which includes: Hazardous Materialand Hazardous Waste (HM/HW) management, spill response and cleanup; IndustrialWaste (IW)/Oily Waste (OW) treatment, and IDIQ work associated withEnvironmental Assessments, Remediation, and Environmental Compliance, and (4)Question/Answer Session. Those interested in attending the Industry Forum must e-mail a request to PaulaConley at paula.conley@navy.mil, no later than 3 April 2009. The request mustinclude the company name, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address,business status (small business or large business), company role (prime orsubcontractor), list of attendees, and proposed topics for discussion. Once therequested information is received, firms will be provided directions to theforum. It is anticipated the forum will be held at the Holiday Inn on the Baylocated at 1355 NORTH HARBOR DRIVE SAN DIEGO, CA 92101. All comments and questions must be e-mailed to Paula Conley at the e-mailaddress referenced above by 3 April 2009. The Government anticipates posting the80% Performance Work Statement, technical exhibits and draft solicitation on orabout 26 March 2009 to NECO.
