- The Sterns Ranger District of the Daniel Boone National Forest in McCreary County, Kentucky is advertising a project for tree thinning. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation and any incidental supplies required to complete tree thinning services in accordance with the Schedule of Items and Specifications contained in the solicitation. All work is to comply with Local, State and Federal codes and is subject to Service Contract Act wage rates. Solicitation AG-3395-S-09-1101 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price contract. This acquisition has been set aside 100% for small business concerns. The NAICS code for this project is 115310. The small business size standard is $7.0 million. All solicitation documents will be available for downloading from the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZZOPPS) website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ on or around April 3, 2009. Responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Successful quoters are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) database or award cannot be made. You may register at the CCR website: http://www.ccr.gov. The period of performance is to begin within 10 calendar days of the effective date on the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed within 75 calendar days of the effective date on the Notice to Proceed.
