- The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to an issue invitation for bid (IFB), W912P5-09-B-0011, for construction of road work at various Nashville District USACE recreation areas. The work covered by this project consists of furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials required to pave, seal, resurface, and/or reshape and compact existing roads and parking areas, pavement striping, and installation of curbs and guardrails at various USACE facilities areas adjacent to Old Hickory Lake (Davidson, Sumner, Wilson, and Trousdale Counties in Tennessee), Cheatham Lake (Davidson, Dickson, and Cheatham Counties in Tennessee), and J. Percy Priest Reservoir (Davidson, Rutherford, and Wilson Counties in Tennessee). IFB W912P5-09-B-0011 is 100% set-aside for competitive 8(a) small business concerns located in close proximity to the Old Hickory Lake, Cheatham Lake, and J. Percy Priest Reservoir. Close proximity is defined as the Contractors business being located within the following Tennessee Counties: Davidson, Sumner, Cheatham, Robertson, Wilson, Williamson, Dickson, Hickman, Houston, Montgomery, Maury, Humphrey, Trousdale and Rutherford. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237310 with a small business size standard of $33.5M. From this IFB, the Government intends to award one firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity construction contract. The Government intends to award without discussions. The period of performance for this procurement will be for a base one-year period and two (2) one-year optional periods. The total value for each year is not to exceed $1M with a maximum aggregate total value not to exceed $3M for the entire contract. The Government will issue task orders to perform the individual projects. The project specifications and project location will be defined in the task order. All construction task orders over $30K will require a payment bond and all construction task orders over $100K will require both payment and performance bonds. Offerors must have sufficient bonding capacity. The estimated release date for IFB W912P5-09-B-0011 is on or about April 17, 2009. Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation. The IFB documents for this procurement will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) database.
