- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has a need for Plastic Laminate Interpretive Exhibits Fabrication of high-pressure laminate signs in various grades (interior vs. exterior (outdoor) grades, solid vs. bending and post-forming grades); thicknesses; and surface finishes from artwork supplied by the Service. Contractor to specify available grades, thicknesses and surface finishes in their proposal. Signs must be manufactured in various sizes, up to 48" x 96". In about 25% of orders, contractor to provide high-resolution scanning and placement of original illustrations or photographs into Pagemaker files provided by the Service. Scanning may include color correction, sharpening, and spotting or retouching. In about 25% of orders, contractor to design and fabricate metal frame and post mounting systems for outdoor signs. Contractor to provide high-resolution scanning and placement of original illustrations or photographs into Pagemaker files provided by the Service. Scanning may include color correction, sharpening, and spotting or retouching. In 75% of cases, artwork ready for digital output will be supplied by the Service as digital files in Pagemaker, Freehand, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Files will be supplied on Macintosh Jaz or Zip disks; Contractor will rip files and output artwork directly from Service-provided files. This will be for one base year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity services contract, with four additional years, not to exceed $1,000,000. Project sites will primarily be located in the eleven Western States and Hawaii and Alaska with occasional projects in other locations. Estimated issue date is April 13, 2009. This solicitation will be posted electronically at www.fbo.gov. Paper copies are no longer available. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns. See Numbered Note(s) 1.
