- The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division has a sole source requirement to Niche, Inc. New Bedford, MA for the manufacture and delivery of Low Velocity Cargo Parachutes, NSN: 1670-01-547-0401, Part Number# 11-1-7606-1 for 6,000 each for a period of 6 months. Niche Inc. is the only contractor that first article can be waived AND that can meet a delivery schedule of 1,000 each per month for a period of 6 months. Deliveries will begin in May 2009. The Government anticipates that this acquisition will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The North American Industry Classification System, (NAICS) code is: 314999. The units will be shipped to, SU Transportation Officer, DDSP, New Cumberland Facility, 2001 Mission Drive door 113-134, New Cumberland, PA 17070-5001.
