- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Office of River Protection (ORP)plans tocontract by means other than full and open competition. DOE ORP intends to award a sole source contract to CH2M Hill Constructors, Inc., 3190 GeorgeWashington Way, Suite B, Richland, WA, 99354-1659. CH2M Hill Constructorswillprovide expert consulting services for a Senior Oversight Advisory Team insupport of the DOE Hanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization PlantProject. DOE ORP requires consulting services for a Senior Oversight Advisory Teamforassessment of project performance, management team and approach, management plans, processes and focus, risk management and actions associated with theDOEHanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project. The contractormustbe uniquely qualified to provide the technical and management expertiseneededto support the DOE Environmental Management Senior Oversight Advisory Team. DOE ORP requires a contractor with specialized experienced in the U.S. inthenuclear energy and construction industry, and in working with largecorporations and government agencies including DOE ORP. The contractormust beable to commence performance at DOE ORP during the week of April 6, 2009.Theestimated dollar value for this procurement is approximately $60K. DOE ORP has determined that this requirement can only be satisfied by theunique services only available from CH2M Hill. CH2M Hill is the only firmknown to DOE ORP that is uniquely capable of providing the requiredconsultingservices for a Senior Oversight Advisory Team to DOE ORP in support of theDOEHanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project beginning the weekofApril 6, 2009. The statutory authority permitting this action is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) -onlyone responsible source exists and no other supplier or services willsatisfyagency requirements. This notice is not a request for proposals, and none will be accepted;however,DOE ORP will review any information submitted by interested parties todetermine if they could potentially fill similar requirements in thefuture.
