- Description
- This Design/Build project consists of the design and construction of a 200-member BRAC Armed Forces Reserve Center. The buildings include a 59,798 square foot (SF) Training Center, a 25,226 square feet (SF) OMS, and 8,337 square feet (FT) Unheated Storage. The buildings will be located at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in McAlester, Oklahoma. The building will be of permanent construction with reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, mechanical systems including air conditioning and electrical systems. Supporting facilities shall include site preparation, paving, fencing, and extension of utilities to serve the project. The project also includes Privately Owned Vehicle and MEP parking areas. While interior design and furniture layouts will be designed by the Contractor as part of this contract, furniture will be purchased by other contract. The solicitation will contain the following nine (9) options: 1) Unheated Storage Building including Organizational Unit Storage; 2) Loading Ramp; 3) MEP Concrete Paving; 4) Covered Wash Rack; 5) Government Field Trailer; 6) AFRC Exterior Roof Construction; 7) AFRC Exterior Wall Construction; 8) BRAC Operations & Maintenance Funded Items-Bona Fide Need; and 9) BRAC Operations & Maintenance Funded Items-Non-Bona Fide Need. This solicitation will be awarded using the Technical Tradeoff (Best Value) approach. Proposals will be evaluated based on the following technical factors: Experience, Past Performance, Technical Proposal Information, and Management. All evaluation factors, other than cost or price, when combined, are equal to cost or price. This is an UNRESTRICTED procurement. NAICS code is 236220. Size Limitation is $33.5M. The estimated price range is between $10M and $25M. A pre-proposal conference is planned for 31 March 2009. Exact time and location will be noted in the solicitation. Approximate issue date is 18 March 2009 and approximate due date for proposals is 17 April 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Project documents will be made available via web only.
