- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) intends to award a sole source contract to Orbit/FR Inc., Horsham, PA for the upgrade of the Antenna Measurement System. It is expected that the resultant contract shall be a Firm Fixed Priced basis for the procurement of: (a)Orbit /FR 9800 High Speed Switch Controller (b)RF Cables (c)Software drivers (d)PC controllers (e)training manuals (f)Installation and integration of new system with existing hardware. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Orbit/FR Inc. is the sole developer and vendor of the Orbit FR959 Acquisition system which includes the proprietary software that they maintain and update and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience and tooling to produce the requirements described herein, in order to satisfy the government’s requirement. Note 22 applies. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the supplies anticipated needed herein is 334515. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
