- Request for Proposal - N7100090009 - Small Business Set Aside - NAICS 237110. This project is located at Rough Canyon of Amistad National Recreational Area, which is 12 miles north of Del Rio, Texas. The Rough Canyon Water System is located on the eastern edge of the Amistad Reservoir. It is over 30 years old. It services more than 50 structures in the park and neighboring gateway community. Inside the park, the Rough Canyon Water System services the marina, ranger station, two residences, and picnic area. Also, the Rough Canyon Water System provides fire fighting support to approximately $2.5 million in NPS-owned structures (including two residences) and over 50 structures in the neighboring gateway community. Construction Magnitude $100,000 to $250,000. The Government will award a firm fixed price contract. The work of this contract consists of: The replacement of electrical and control panels in the pump house. It will also replace the high flow booster pump and domestic service booster pumps and motors. The scope of work includes installing new wire between electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment. The contractor will also be responsible for start-up and training of the operators.This project will be constructed under a single prime contract. It is highly recommended that the Contractor visit the job site prior to submitting a bid. Work will be completed in accordance with government furnished specifications and plans. A paper solicitation will not be issued and electronic submission of contractor proposals will not be accepted. This is a best value procurement and award will be made based on price and price related factors. The Government will not accept an offer for award on the basis of superior capability without concern for the price of the offer. Non-Price factors are significantly less important than cost or price. Factors include, but may not be limited to: past performance, demonstrated abilities in work required (experience). Details related to the source selection process will be posted within the solicitation in Sections L & M. Solicitation issue date is on or ABOUT April 2, 2009.
