- THIS IS ONLY THE ADVANCED NOTICE. THE SOLICITATION INCLUDING ALL EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE POSTED AFTER APRIL 6, 2009 FOR THE REQUIRED EQUIPMENT GENERALLY DESCRIBED BELOW. NO RESPONSE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This will be a small business set-aside. NAICS Code: 532412Size Standard: $7.0 M Purpose: Denali National Park and Preserve requires the rental of the following items: Item One: One (1) each front end loader, CAT 996G or John Deere 824J or equivalent with a standard bucket with teeth with a capacity no less than 5.25 cubic yards. Must include quick disconnect forks. Rental will be a minimum of 4 months beginning 5/26/2009. Item Two: Three (3) each 12 yard dump trucks. Units must have High Life hydraulic tail gates for passage of large objects such as stumps and rocks. Plumbed for air, electrical and hydraulics, adjustable air Pintle Hitch for pulling 50,000 lb. triple axle equipment trailers. Attached load cover mechanism for covering loads. Rental will be a minimum of 4 months beginning 06/02/2009. Item Three: Two (2) each water distribution trucks, Construction type. Each truck must meet these specifications: Minimum capacity of 2800 gallons. Units must be model year 2005 or newer. Must be in excellent mechanical condition. Truck #1 will be an approximate rental of 4 months beginning 6/02/2009 ending 9/25/2009. Truck #2 will be an approximate rental of 3 months beginning 6/15/2009 to 9/1/2009 Item Four: Four (4) each Caterpillar 315C / 315C/L or Hitachi EX 160 or equivalent crawler/excavator. Units must have hydraulic quick disconnects for a standard 36" bucket and a 60" wide ditching bucket. All machines shall have a hydraulic thumb attached.Units must be model year 2005 or newer with less than 2500 hours on meter. Rental will be a minimum of 4 months and a maximum of 5 months.#1 rental shall begin 5/12/2009 ending 9/25/2009#2 rental shall begin 6/2/2009 ending 9/25/2009#3 rental shall begin 6/2/2009 ending 9/25/2009#4 rental shall begin 6/2/2009 ending 9/12/2009 As part of the contract, the contractor shall deliver and pick up the equipment at Denali National Park & Preserve, Milepost 237, Parks Highway, Denali Park, Alaska 99755. ALL VENDORS WISHING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS SOLICITATION MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE PRIOR TO AN AWARD BEING MADE.
