- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to contract for Armed Guard Services at SSA’s Albuquerque Teleservice Center (AQTSC) located at 500 Lead Street, SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102 and SSA’s leased parking garage at 410 Lead Street, SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining an environment in which citizens and Government employees can conduct business in safety with confidence. The AQTSC building occupies approximately 150,000 square feet of office space and is occupied by a workforce of approximately 700 SSA employees. The contractor will be responsible for manning posts, traffic control, security and fire systems and other duties required to maintain a secure environment. This is a 100% set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Offers from other than HUBZone small business concerns will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561612. The size standard for this NAICS code is $18.5 million. SSA anticipates awarding one firm-fixed-price contract for this effort. The period of performance will be for one year (12 months in duration) with seven incentive 1-year option periods, if exercised. The armed guard services will be procured utilizing the procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 – Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15 - Contracting by Negotiation. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for April 2, 2009. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. The solicitation and any related documents for this procurement will be made available to interested parties through electronic media for downloading via the internet at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
