- 7 MILE EGLEY FENCE REMOVAL AND CONSTRUCTION DESCRIPTION OF WORK The purpose of this solicitation is to secure labor, equipment, and supplies, except for specified Government-furnished property, to construct a barbwire/steel T-post fence in the EGLEY Fire Complex area. Construction shall consist of approximately 7 miles of four-strand fence. Approximately 7 miles of fence shall be removed. These portions of fence were destroyed by back burn fire suppression efforts. This work is located on the Emigrant Creek Ranger District of the Ochoco National Forest. This project will be posted to FedBizOpps as a pre-solicitation notice on March 3, 2009. The project will upload in FedBizOpps as a solicitation on or around March 25, 2009, and proposals will be due at the Malheur National Forest office COB on April 28, 2009. This project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. *CASCADING SET-ASIDE: This solicitation will be set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. If we do not receive enough competition and/or reasonable offers from the HUBZone small business concern set-aside, we will then evaluate quotes and consider awarding to a small business concern. Travel forest road 4150-700 approximately ½ mile. This section of fence is located in T20S R26E sections 28, 29 and 33., Segment 4) Travel County Road 127 from Hines approximately 11.5 miles. Then travel forest road 41about 32 miles, the fence is located in T19S R26E sections 29 and 32., Segment 5) Travel County Road 127 approximately 11.1 miles. Then travel forest road 41 approximately 14 miles to Forest road 41-4330. Then travel forest road 4330 approximately 1.5 miles.
