- Description
- The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation is issuing a solicitation (negotiated) for the purpose of requesting proposals for the construction of pumping plants, Block 9, Stage 2, Schedules 1 & 4. The principal components of the work to be performed under this solicitation include the following: a. Earthwork for Pumping Plants and appurtenant structures. b. Constructing Pumping Plants B0.1R and B0.9L and a pre engineered metal building at each pumping plant site. Furnishing and installing pumping units and a steel manifold at each pumping plant. c. Designing, furnishing, and installing elevated steel tanks at Pumping Plants B0.1R and B0.9L. d. Furnishing and installing metal piping, supports, and valves. e. Furnishing and installing traveling water screens and conveyors for traveling water screens. f. Furnishing and installing motorized cast iron slide gate at Pumping Plant B0.1R. g. Furnishing, installing, and testing ventilating systems. h. Furnishing and installing the outdoor single ended primary and secondary unit substations. i. Furnishing and installing the grounding system, electrical conduit system and insulated conductors. j. Furnishing and installing the 5 kV and 15 kV power cables. k. Furnishing and installing the 5 kV motor control equipment, 480-volt motor control centers, auxiliary control equipment, plant distribution panelboards and transformers, water level indicating and control systems, and miscellaneous electrical equipment. l. Installing Government furnished programmable controllers. m. Furnishing and installing two complete lighting systems. n. Design and install cathodic protection systems for Pumping Plants, Elevated Tanks and associated equipment and piping. The work is located in Farmington, New Mexico. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for April 21, 2009. The confirmed date will be listed in the solicitation. The work will be performed under NAICS Code 237990. The estimated value is more than $10,000,000.00. The contract will be firm-fixed price. Approximate date of solicitation issuance is April 3, 2009.
