- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-07-G-0001 to Rolls-Royce, PLC Bristol England, for the work efforts required to support Component Improvement Program (CIP) services in support of the AV-8B F-402 Pegasus propulsion system. The CIP shall provide engineering and support services to maintain systems' effectiveness and optimize the affordable readiness of the AV-8B F-402 propulsion system. Specifically, the contractor shall perform engineering projects and provide design solutions to provide for continuing improvements in Safety, Readiness, Reliability, Maintainability, Sustainment, and correction of service related non-specification deficiencies. The period of performance shall be 01 January 2010 through 31 December 2010. NAVAIR intends to procure these services from Rolls-Royce, plc, the original and sole manufacturer of the AV-8B Pegasus engine and the only firm with the requisite knowledge and expertise to perform the effort. The results of the CIP Program will have applicability to the Governments of Spain, Italy, and the UK; therefore all four nations' specific requirements shall be taken into consideration.
