- This is a pre-solicitation notice for a firm, fixed-price contract to Upgrade the Ninth Floor Sprinkler System in the Hart Senate Office Building (HSOB) for the Architect of the Capitol. The contract work can be summarized as follows: "The work includes the installation of a new automatic sprinkler system in the areas of the Ninth Floor of the Hart Senate Office Building that are currently not protected by an automatic sprinkler system." Work on this project will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday through Friday. The solicitation will be issued on or about April 8, 2009. The due date for receipt of proposals will be on or about May 8, 2009. These dates are subject to change and offerors are reminded that the proposal due date in the RFP090037 document will take precedence over the date stated in this notice. Requests for drawings must be made to Matt Hazlinsky, Contracting Officer, via email at mhazlins@aoc.gov. All requests shall contain company mailing addresses and name and phone number of a point of contact at the company making the request. Drawings will be mailed to contractors after date of solicitation issuance. The solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR ALL CHANGES!! Date and time for a site visit will be determined later. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
