- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to Adapco Inc. There is no solicitation. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in Portland, Oregon intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1, Other Than Full and Open Competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This acquisition is required to support the Maui National Wildlife Refuge in Kihei, Hawaii. Adapco Inc. is the only known supplier of the following: 1. Strike Pellets (methoprene) for the control of spotted-winged midges. The USFWS intends to award Sole Source to Adapco Inc. No solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award using other than full and open competition and is not a request for competitive proposals. Nevertheless, any firm that is capable of meeting the USFWS requirements described herein may submit a response not later than close of business on 03/23/2009.
