- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the acquisition of a Near Infrared Photo MultiplierTube.Description of Requirement:Near Infrared Photo Multiplier Tube (NIR-PMT), Model H10330-75, Hand selected with the following special characteristics:Quantum efficiency equal or greater than 15% at 1500 nm wavelength; Photon multiplicationgain greater than 1e6 at 800 volts Dark current less than 320nA at 800 voltsOther specifications:Photocathode Active area: &gt;1.5 mm diameter;Pulse raise time &lt;1 ns;Pulse fall time &lt;1.7 ns;Transient time spread: &lt;0.3 ns;Thermal-electrically cooled Photo Multiplier Tube (PMT) housing, turn-key operation;High voltage supply, temperature controller, and cables included;Operating ambient temperature: 5-40 degrees Celsius;Operating ambient humidity: &lt;80%;No vacuum pump necessary to prevent water condensation on the PMT;Power supply: 115 VAC;PMT housing size: 160x160x60 cm or smaller. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from the Hamamatsu Corporation pursuant to FAR13.106, for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably availablefrom only one source.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local timeon the response date. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
