Description
DRAFT CDRLs DRAFT Performance Specification Pages 12 through 35 DRAFT Performance Specification Pages 1 through 11 DRAFT Statement of Work U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operates a diversified fleet of aircraft to detect, deter and mitigate threats to our homeland such as terrorists, acts of terrorism, drug smuggling and other unlawful movement of people and goods across the U.S. borders. Currently, various types of aircraft are utilized to perform the airborne tracker, maritime/ground surveillance and air/ground interdiction missions. To improve mission effectiveness and resource flexibility, CBP intends, but does not guarantee, to purchase up to 40 turbine-powered multi-engine fixed wing multi-role enforcement aircraft (MEA) equipped with sensors that can effectively perform those types of missions. CBP intends to award a contract to a prime contractor for the end product (aircraft and mission sensor system). A minimum of two MEA will be purchased at contract award for prototype evaluation and testing. Successful evaluation leading to a full deployment decision will result in the purchase of additional aircraft, subject to availability of funds. To solicit TECHNICAL input from contractors and exchange information prior to the release of a request for proposal, a DRAFT statement of work, DRAFT performance specification and DRAFT CDRL’s are attached for review and comment. Questions and comments should be should be identified with HSBP092336 and are due no later than 10:00 A.M. (EST) on March 31, 2009. All correspondence must be submitted in writing and directed to Contracting Officer Ronald B. Rosenberg at email RONALD.ROSENBERG@DHS.GOV AND Susan Baptist at email SUSAN.BAPTIST@DHS.GOV
