- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award on a sole source basis via a modification to existing contract N00024-07-C-6311 one Subject Matter Expert (SME) and 8 Field Service Representatives (FSR's) with options for an additional 8, and 3 Automatic Testing Equipment (ATE's) to ITT-CCS Corporation, 3500 Willow lane, Thousand Oaks, CA 91361. The period of performance is estimated through April 2010. These representatives will assist with engineering, assessments, comparative tests, analysis and integration services required to improve the capability and interoperability of Joint Counter-Radio Controlled Explosives Warfare (JCREW) 2.1 CVRJ and overall performance of the system. JCREW 2.1 CVRJ SME's and FSR's are individuals who exhibit the highest level of expertise in performing engineering, assessing, testing, and analyzing the JCREW 2.1 CVRJ systems in theater. The place of performance for this requirement is OCONUS. The representatives must understand the nature ! of current and emerging threats and how to best optimize the JCREW 2.1 CVRJ and help in coordinating with stateside loadset development organizations. Since ITT Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) of the JCREW 2.1 CVRJ systems, they are the only vendor capable of supplying these individuals. No other source has the technical qualifications and necessary resources to perform the work describe herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Government's requirement. The ATE's will be used in support of the CVRJ units that are currently in theatre in order to improve performance and maintain the life of the units. Portions of the ATE are built and wired solely by ITT and in addition ITT develops the software/firmware for use in the ATE. ITT updates and modifies the equipment for changes as they occur to create a fully functional ATE system. Because ITT has past experience with integration and assembly of parts and software/firmware, they are! the only vendor capable of supplying these units. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334511. This requirement will be awarded on a firm, fixed priced basis. Solicitation number N00024-09-R-6308 will be issued on or around late 2ND QTR Government's Fiscal Year (GFY) 2009, and award will be made early third quarter of the GFY 2009.
