- The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service is soliciting bids for the construction of waterline extension for the Calico Community. The work generall includes but not limited to the following: 1. Constructing approximately 13,040 lineal feet of 8-inch SDR21 PVC water main. 2. Constructing approximately 2,450 lineal feet of 4-inch SDR21 PVC water main. 3. Installing approximately 5,100 lineal feet of 2-inch SDR21 PVC waterline. 4. Installing approximately 550 lineal feet of 1 1/2 inch SDR21 PVC waterline. 5. Installing road bores, aire release valve pits, hydrants, gate valves, cub stops, meter pits and appurtenances. 6. Connecting homes to the new water mains. 7. Completing "as-built" drawings. All work shall be performed in a workman like manner, in complete compliance with all applicable industry standards, manufactures specifications and warranty requirement to meet Government approval. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, transporatation, equipment, supervision and all other necessary items to complete project. Duration of the project will be one hundred (100) days from the Notice to Proceed Date. BID BOND, PAYMENT AND PERFORMANCE BONDS ARE REQUIRED. Project magnitude is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The Indian Preference clause in employment and subcontracting is made part of this solicitation and resultant contract. IFB-OM-2009-3563 will be made available approximately fifteen (15) days after publication which is March 18, 2009. There will be a non-refundable charge of twenty-five $25.00 dollars for the solicitation documents.
