- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service, Midwest Area has a project titled "Building 5 - Install Waste Water Pumping and Piping at National Animal Disease Center (NADC) Ames, IA 50010. The project generally consists of the addition of a new 600 gallon stainless steel collection tank; two transfer pumps; CPVC piping and fittings; automatic and manual control valves; installation and modification of mixing tanks; two mixing pumps; a sump pump; float and controls; chemical feed tote pump; associated appurtenances, associated electrical installations and associated control installations. The magnitude of construction is estimated at $100,00 to $250,000 SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code is 238220 and the annual size standard is $14 Million. This is an invitation for bid and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-30. Solicitation AG 5114-S-09-AA07 will be ready for uploading on or about March 30 2009. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to to visit the job site prior to submission of bids. Sealed bids will be as detailed in the solicitation due at 2PM on April 30, 2009. A firm fixed price Contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits the lowest bid. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractors Registration website at www.CCR.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration information at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
