- Contractor will furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, and transportation necessary for Project Number 636-09-109, "Alter and Repair Roof Building 9 at the Department of Veteran Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) Omaha VA Medical Center. Major elements of work include, but are not limited to: (1) Construction of a replacement EPDM roof with alterations. An insulation rating of R-43 will be met by installing Polyisocyanurate foam. The main roof and east canopy are intended for replacement but the loading dock roof is not; (2) Removal, repair and alteration of abandoned mechanical penetrations and equipment bases and pads; and (3) Contractor administered ten year warranty of all labor, material and misc items. All work shall be preformed in accordance with the specifications and drawings contained in the solicitation. Solicitation number VA-263-09-IB-0166 for this effort will be released on or about March 25, 2009. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and information necessary to bid the project. A Site Visit is tentatively scheduled for March 31 at 1:00PM local time (see solicitation when available for further details). Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for April 24, 2009 at 2:00PM local time (see solicitation when available for further details. Successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of contract award notification. Period of Performance is expected to be 120 days from the issuance of the Notice-To-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The combined estimate of these two projects is between $100,000.00 and $500,000.00.
