Description

This construction project currently consists of approximately 3 miles of minor road reconditioning, supply and placement of approximately 500 tons of pit run material, and supply and placement of approximately 3500 tons of FS Grading ‘F’ aggregate on Forest Road 233. All aggregate shall be contractor supplied from a commercial source. The project area is located on the Red River Ranger District, Nez Perce National Forest. To access the project area, travel approximately 15 miles south of Elk City on Forest Road 233 beyond the Old Orogrande Town site. Project start is at the intersection with Forest Road 311 at mile post 12.10. Work on the project is expected to begin approximately July 1, 2009 (dependent on snow conditions) and shall be completed by September 31, 2009. Estimated price range for the project is $100,000-$250,000. The Forest is currently seeking funding to expand the project to add the following work: 3 miles of additional road reconditioning and supply and placement of approximately 3500 tons of additional FS Grading ‘F’ aggregate. If this funding is secured the estimated price range for the project would increase to $250,000-$500,000. This is a presolicitation notice, the solicitation package will be available in the Spring of 2009.
