- USDA/ARS, Photosynthesis Research Unit, Urbana, IL Location has a requirement for additional equipment to be used in conjunction with already existing equipment. This is notice of our Intent to Sole Source this equipment in order to match existing equipment in a follow-on contract from Campbell Scientific, Inc. 815 West 1800 North, Logan, UT 84321-1784 in accordance with prices listed on Quote Number 72796 dated 03/03/2009. The Statement of Work and Salient Characteristics for this equipment are as follows: The equipment on this quote is required to continue measurements associated with energy fluxes in soybean grown at SoyFACE. The quote includes two complete residual energy balance systems to provide two more replicates in measuring sensible and soil heat fluxes and net radiation. This will add to the existing replicates that currently exist at SoyFACE. Two of the ten dataloggers are used for this purpose as well. The remaining eight dataloggers are required to control the elevated temperature plots at T-FACE. The specs are required for the dataloggers: 16 single-ended or 8 differential analogue input channels, 2 Pulse counters, 3 Switched voltage excitations, 8 Control/digital ports, 1 RS-232 port, 1 CS I/O port, 100 Hz Scan rate, Analog volt. resolution to 0.33 uV CRBasic Programming, Table based Data Storage and PakBus Telecommunications Interested parties should please send your proposals on your company letterhead to meet or exceed these requirements to: Randa Plotner, Purchasing Agent USDA/ARS 1101 W.
