Description
The United States Secret Service (USSS) is a federal law enforcement agency mandated by Congress to carry out dual missions: protection of national and visiting foreign leaders, and criminal investigations. This sources sought announcement concerns the Technical Security Division; TSD serves as the focal point for technical security matters within the U.S. Secret Service. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of current market capabilities. There is not a solicitation available. Upon review of the responses, USSS will make a determination if the information submitted meets the minimum qualifications specified and whether to include the organization in any future potential solicitation. The U.S. Secret Service is conducting market research for organizations with significant experience and expertise in all of these areas: (1) radiological detection and identification; (2) air monitoring for various hazards; and (3) computer hardware installation, networking, and software programming. Interested organizations shall provide their unique system installation experience, integrated system experience, and system maintenance experience with air monitoring and radiological detection/identification systems; their ability to be on-site in twenty-four hours; and their knowledge in the latest air monitoring and radiological detection/identification technology. Interested organizations shall have a significant Washington DC area footprint and hold clearances at the Top Secret level. Interested organizations should have considerable experience working on classified projects and be familiar with the guidelines of the DD 254. The objectives of this RFI are: The requested information is for planning purposes and does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be issued. After assessing the results of this market survey, the U.S. Secret Service will determine whether to proceed with any further evaluation in the future. Data/Information Requested: If you wish to provide information about your organization and its experience and expertise in the above three areas (1) radiological detection and identification; (2) air monitoring for various hazards; and (3) computer hardware installation, networking, and software programming, please do so in electronic format and provide your company name, business address, CAGE code, web address, and for the point of contact: name, telephone and email address. Information must be no more than 20 pages and include: -- A description of how the organization meets each of the functionality needs above; --Descriptive literature, brochures, etc.; --GSA Schedule information, if applicable; --Experience with similar government projects, if applicable; including the project name and government sponsor information; --Experience with similar non-government projects, if applicable, including the project name and client information; --Short biographical descriptions of key personnel including their clearance levels. Please do not telephone with questions but email them; if you do not receive a confirmation response, your question was not received. This RFI is not a request for proposal, nor does it constitute a current or future government requirement. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to enter into a contractual agreement. Any information, or data, provided to the government is strictly voluntary and at no cost to the government. All submitted materials will be designated for Government Use Only. All information and data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the government.
