SIR Description: This is a small business set-asideThe Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western Service Area, Los Angeles, CA has a requirement to remove and replace the elevator controller, drive motor, and other elevator devices at the San Diego Air Traffic Control Tower located in San Diego, CA. The Contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Removing the existing Dover T-IV elevator control system Removing the existing DC driver motor Removing the existing elevator door closer Removing the existing landing system Removing the existing door edge guards Removing the existing car operating panel Removing the car inspection station Supplying and installing one new motor gear box flange Supplying and installing one new AC driver motor Supplying and installing one new microprocessor based programmable elevator controller Supplying and installing one new unintended car movement device (a.k.a. rope gripper) Supplying and installing a new traveling cable Supplying and installing one new car door closer Supplying and installing a new landing system Supplying and installing new door edge guards Supplying and installing one new earthquake switch Supplying and installing car door restricted opening (unlocking zone) devices Supplying and installing one new car operating panel Supplying and installing one new car top inspection station Award will be based on the best value to the FAA considering total costs, past performance/experience, technical capabilities and cost realism. The contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar and scope. Vendors must complete and submit the attached Business Declaration Form. Contractors must have an active registration in the CCR before contract award can be made. Contractors can register at: www.ccr.gov The work will be performed in strict accordance with the specifications and contract provisions under the subject contract. Award of a firm-fixed-price contract is being contemplated to a responsible offeror who submits the responsive offer to this requirement.
