- BEAR CREEK BRIDGE REPAIR AND OPTIONAL ITEM OF LITTLE BEAR CREEK PIPE ARCH REPLACEMENT This contract is for bridge approach repair and structural plate pipe arch construction work on Forest Service Road No. 8250 on the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. The work for the bridge repair includes: excavation and embankment of existing bridge structure; production and placement of riprap and special rock embankment; reestablishing the roadway to the existing alignment; and replacement of the existing aggregate base and surface. The work for the structural plate bottomless pipe arch construction includes: excavation and removal of one metal pipe arch from the forest, replacing with a new bottomless pipe arch; stringent dewatering, erosion and sediment control measures; reestablishing the roadway to the existing alignment; and replacement of the existing aggregate base and surface. There will be an instream work window at Little Bear Creek. Estimated start work date is May 15, 2009 with an estimated ending work date of August 30, 2009.
