MATERIAL CARBON STEEL BAR, COLD FINISHED GRADES, 1137 OR 1141. BUSHING MADE FROM ZYTEL PLASTIC 105 BK010A INSERTED. THE PART IS ABOUT ONE INCH WIDE X 1.12 INCH THICK AND AND 1.75 INCHES LONG AND PROTECTIVE FINISH REQUIRED IS A HEAVY PHOSPHATE WITH SUPPLEMENTARY OIL TREATMENT. SPECIAL NOTE: DRWG. ALLOWS FOR ALTERNATE INVESTMENT CASTING FOR P/N:12012078. DESC: 5365-01-454-8487, Part Number 12012079, The item to procure is a Bushing (5365-01-454-8487), which is a component of the Back Plate Assembly. THE BUSHING IS USED ON THE M10.50CAL MACHINE GUN AND IS MADE FROM ZYTEL 105 BK010A OR 157HSL BK010. LARGE OUTSIDE DIAMETER IS 1.00 INCH; SMALLER DIAMETER IS.50 INCH; INSIDE DIAMETER IS.20 INCH; OVERALL LENGTH IS.75 INCH. Estimated issue date is 20 March 2009. Requirements are for a five year IDIQ with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 3,000 each, Back Plate Assembly, and with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 5,000 each, Bushing, with Total Small Business Set Aside. FOB is Destination. For use on the M2 Machine Gun. It is anticipated that award of this acquisition will not be based on price alone. The Government reserves the right to award to other than the offeror with the lowest price or the highest rated (lowest risk) offer. See Section L and Section M of the solicitation, once posted, for additional information. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. This contains an export controlled TDP. To be eligible to gain access to export controlled TDP whether it is via CD you must have a current DD 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement certification on file with the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS).
