- GENERAL STATEMENT OF WORK Contractor shall completely prepare site for Bascule Bridge Replacement at Wilson Auxiliary Lock Tennessee River, Florence, Alabama. Construction services are required for the fabrication and installation of a new two-lane vehicular bridge across the auxiliary lock chamber at Wilson Lock in Florence, Alabama. The new bridge will be a 3-span(70 - 155 112) structure with composite steel plate-girders, concrete deck, and concrete support piers and abutments. Some site grading, paving, and utility work will also be required to tie the bridge into existing roadway and parking areas. Construction will be within the property limits of the Tennessee Valley Authoritys Wilson Lock and Dam Project. Construction administration will be by the Nashville District US Army Corps of Engineers. The drawings and specifications may be downloaded from the FBO web site. A site visit will be conducted in the next 2-4 weeks. This is a full and open solicitation with Hub Zone preference.
