- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation. Q6310090063 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Paper copies of this quotation will not be issued. This RFQ is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 423310. Responses are due by 3:00pm EST on March 17, 2009. Isle Royale National Park requires the following materials: MCQ pressure treated Southern Yellow Pine, rough cut and grade #2 and better. Minimum preservative retention shall be.40 pcf for ground and fresh water contact. 56 ea. 2"x12"x20' #2&better 36 ea. 3"x12"x20' #2&better30 ea. 3"x12"x24' #2&better32 ea. 8"x8"x16' #2&better48 ea. 8"x8"x20' #2&better40 ea. 8"x8"x24' #2&better All lumber packages shall be banded, covered with lumber covers, and delivered to Houghton, MI 49931. Lumber packages shall be placed on pallets or stickers for ease of loading or unloading with a fork lift. No lumber package shall exceed 5000 pounds in weight. Delivery to destination by April 30, 2009 Interested vendors must register at www.ccr.gov (Central Contractor's Registry) and at www.orca.gov (Electronic Representations and Certifications). The National Park Service anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of this RFQ, to the responsible vendor whose quote provides the best value to the Government.
