- This project renovates space at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) Lexington, Leestown Division (LD) campus, to provide care and Hoptel accommodations for Polytrauma program patients and to provide support spaces for VA staff in the Polytrauma program. This project specifically renovates: a wing (approximately of the entire end leg) of the second floor of Building 17 by renovation of the existing bedrooms to four (4) Hoptel bedroom/bathroom configuration spaces and providing a common area kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator and sink; no oven and no stove) for Hoptel occupants. The construction period is 214 days. This is a sealed bid procurement and is restricted to Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. The estimated price of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The NAICS code is 236220, and the size standard is $33.5M. The solicitation should be issued on or about March 19, 2009 and proposals will be due on or about April 21, 2009.
