- The T. S. Kennedy is a Training Ship owned by the U.S. Government and provided to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. While it is not intended to perform a UWILD (underwater inspection in lieu of dry docking) as we are not seeking credit for a tailshaft inspection or dry docking, it is intended to have an ABS certified dive specialist to conduct an underwater survey sufficient to assess the overall condition of all underwater portions of the ship. This underwater survey shall consist of swimming and videoing the full length and breadth of the underwater hull with particular attention paid to the appearance of the hull plating and weldments, propeller, rudder, hull openings and other appertunances. The ship has just returned from her annual cruise and the underwater hull is fairly clean. Attention: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's), the DOT short term lending program (STLP) offers working capital financing and the form of lines of credit to finance acccounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
