- VA-797-09-RI-0056 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR LAUNDRY BAGS RFI closes 4PM Central Standard Time, 3/14/09. The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Acquisition Center, intends to solicit for commercial Laundry Bags. The VA has a need for information from any vendor who may be able to supply this item. This is an effort to ensure the specifications are not overly restrictive or unreasonable. Please submit any suggestions, questions, comments on specifications; and/or your firm's ability/interest to provide these items to the Contracting Officer listed below. DO NOT SEND QUOTES OR SAMPLES -THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION Michael A. Barnes Contracting Officer VANAC National Contract Service 708-786-5224 Michael.barnes8@va.gov Laundry Bags 18" Diameter 100% Polyester Intended Use: to be used in areas where potential infectious materials with linen are placed to avoid leakage. 1Fabric Content: Impervious One Ply 100% Polyester Fiber with Carbon Filament to reduce static discharge. 2 fabric weight 3 to 4 oz per sq yard 3Fabric Color - Must have Red, White, Yellow. 4Labeled ( fabric content, care instructions, Country of Manufacture) 5Label Fabric either nylon or polyester. 6Fabric can be commercially laundered 7Round or Square Bottom 8Pull over cover flap size - Range 16" to 18" Measured from leading edge of flap to where it attaches to the bag. 9aSize of handles on bottom for use while emptying the bags. (2 one on each side of bag) Range 4" to 5".
