- The contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, tools, test equipment, and materials to overhaul the Main Transmission, AH-64. The input NSN/Part Number: 1615-01-252-6376/7-311310001-37; 1615-01-461-8845/7-311310001-41; 1615-520-01-9742/7-311310001-51; 1615-01-520-9744/7-311310001-53; 1615-01-527-4251/7-311310001-43; 1615-01-527-4253/7-311310001-39. The output NSN/Part Number 1615-01-520-9744/7-311310001-53. The proposed contractual action will be a five year, firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, with a minimum quantity of 120 each, and maximum quantity 720 each. The maximum quantity includes a 20% Foreign Military Sales quantity of 120 each. The Government's required output schedule is 10 each per month commencing 90 days after approval of Product Verification Audit (PVA). This is a Critical Safety Item (CSI) and as such requires overhaul from an approved source in accordance with DFAR 209.270-3. The maintenance and overhaul shall be in accordance with Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 1-1615-299 and all applicable Maintenance Engineering Orders (MEOs). Authority cited is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The approved sources are McDonnell Douglas Helicopter, MDHC Boeing, Mesa, AZ 85215-9707 (Cage 8V613); Timken Aerospace Transmission, LLC, Manchester, CT 06042-2879 (Cage 15152); and Northstar Aerospace, Bedford Park, IL 60638-6106 (Cage 22907). Firms that can perform the above effort are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for this or future solicitations by submitting documentation in accordance with the Standardized Aviation and Missiles Source Approval Request (SAMSAR) procedures. These procedures are outlined at the following website: http://www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/. All responsible sources may submit an offer tht may be considered by the agency. There will be no telephone or email requests for proposals accepted. Request will be by datafax to (256) 313-8194 or mailed only to ATTN: CCAM-AL-M, Juanita Vance, Contract Specialist. This requirement is currently unfunded. Award will be withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and my be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of the solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above.
