- Description
- The Deschutes National Forest, Ochoco National Forest, and Fremont-Winema National Forest anticipate advertising for hazardous fuels reduction and forest restoration services. Multiple awards will be made and the work will include, but is not limited to, the following activities: mechanical commercial thinning, precommercial thinning mechanical, precommercial hand thinning and piling, grapple piling, mastication, tree planting, subsoiling, bio-mass utilization, and prescribed fire activities, including pile burning, underburning, and wildland fire engine and tender services. These activities may also be utilized under stewardship authority where timber value may be used to offset service costs. The Government anticipates making multiple awards with the expectation of competing future orders amongst the awardees only. Orders will be placed for up to 5 years for service work and 10 years for stewardship. Work is estimated to commence May 15, 2009. All Solicitation documents and relative attachments will be available on this website on or around March 18, 2009 with quotes due approximately 30 days later. Please note this solicitation is being announced on the Deschutes, Ochoco and Fremont-Winema simultaneously. Quotes only need to submit one response.
