- On or about 20 March 2009, this office will issue Request for Proposals for construction of the 47th BCT, Power and Communications, Ft. Carson, Colorado. The solicitation will close on or about 20 April 2009. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS INTERESTS ONLY. The North American Industry Classification System code for this project is 237130 with a size standard of $33,500,000 in average gross annual receipts for the past 3 fiscal years. Site visit is scheduled for March 26, 2009. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide points of contact, access requirements and other pertinent information. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description: Construct infrastructure and utilities to support a standard Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) Complex consisting of electrical and communication networks; electrical substation; exterior lighting; and information systems. This project includes construction of new electrical lines from substation # 2 at the intersection of Titus Avenue and Brown Road along an existing tank trail to the 47th BCT-L Complex near the intersection of Wilderness Road and Butts Road and the construction of new communication lines along Wilderness Road. Project includes a design-build RFP for the design and construction of replacing substation # 2 adjacent to the existing location. A second design-build RFP for the design and construction of a new Communication Node (CN) north of the 47th BCT-L Complex and adjacent to Wilderness Road is also included. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $10,000,000 and $15,000,000.
