For this acquisition, the anticipated NAICS code is 541712 (size standard 1000 employees). Responses and comments should be addressed to the Contracting Officer, Mr. Robert L. Nadeau, Space & Missile Systems Center, at Los Angeles Air Force Base, 483 N. Aviation Blvd, El Segundo, CA 90245. Email: robert.nadeau@us.af.mil. This announcement is a follow-up to LRSW-SEI-08-29, 12 Sep 08, Sources Sought, to help develop a clear understanding and effective RFP for the LRSW SE&I contract. Bidders' library reference documents will be provided with the final RFP. All interested parties are invited to attend the LRSW SE&I Industry Day on 17 March 2009 starting at 0830. The purpose of this meeting is to exchange preliminary information with industry and to solicit feedback on the Government's draft acquisition documents for the LRSW SE&I effort. This meeting will be from 0830-1230 wherein the Government team will present an LRSW program overview and objectives, the acquisition strategy, overview of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), and an overview of the DRFP, attached to this announcement. The Government will only provide information during this session that is equally available to all interested parties. Following Industry Day, all comments/questions and responses will be consolidated and posted to the FEDBIZOPPS website along with all briefing material. Registration is required for all attendees. Please contact the Contracting Officer via email to register providing attendee names, positions, phone numbers, organizations, and the primary Point of Contact no later than 1300 PDT 12 March 2009. All drivers entering Ft MacArthur, San Pedro, CA must present the following: valid picture ID and vehicle registration/insurance at the 30th St. Guard Gate as the main gate at 24th will be closed on 17 Mar 09. All passengers must have valid picture ID. Please allow sufficient time for facility/gate access (arrival between 0745 and 0815). The meeting will be held in the Ft MacArthur Community Center Garden room. See maps/directions attached to this announcement. Contractors may only submit comments by email to the Contracting Officer no later than 1400 PDT on 23 March 2009 to robert.nadeau@us.af.mil with email subject line: "LRSW SE&I Draft RFP Comments". This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice.
